in conduct application in weekly reports, justify suspension.
Yellow card may be issued for any serious or habitual breach of discipline

In the name of religious customs and rites, family and caste traditions,
marriages, applying of mehendi / tying of strings around the wrist cannot be

the permission to be granted. A student may wear them at home. It is difficult
to be granted. A student may wear them at home. It is difficult to judge
customs followed by many religions, caste and families.
All should be particularly careful not to throw any papers, litter waste
anywhere in the school, classrooms, corridors or in the premises. They
should use the baskets and bins provided especially for this purpose.
All are expected to speak in English. It is the medium of instruction
and as such it is compulsory that all the students while they are in the
school premises converse in the medium of instruction as part of uniform code.
By this, the other languages are not undermined. The requirement is that students
wanting to study in an English Medium school should speak English
in and outside the school and follow the medium always and that is the purpose of
seeking admission here. Those found breaking this rule will be fined heavily.
Each and every boy and girl should endeavour to keep up the high tone of the
school, by excelling in good poise, manners, and all departments. Hence,
for the smooth running of the school, no one should bring to school any
objectionable objects and materials which prove a source of disturbance.
This applies to the use of school properties. Do not use the school wall and
toilets for maligning respectable names of teachers and fellow students
as it only reveals one's cowardliness, family background and character
and poor up-bringing.
No student may after the normal school time loiter around the school compound,
not sit along the parapets soon after school. In this regard, it may be noted
that the school cannot be the place from where you go for your private coaching

towards a fellow student by a student will justify dismissal.
If the class is too noisy when the teacher is not present and the student
do not listen to listen to the leaders of the class, the class may be asked
to remain behind in the school without any intimation given to parents,
as a mode of punishment.

No leave of absence is granted except on previous written application
from the parents or guardians and then only for serious reasons.
Absence without leave is liable to punishment either in the form
of fine or any other form at the principal's discretion.
As a rule no more than one day's leave of absence will be granted
to attend the wedding of brothers / sisters of either the student or his
parents. In the case of more distant relatives, no more than half-day leave
will be granted.
This pre-supposed marriage ceremony to take place in Mumbai. Leave to
go out of Mumbai for weddings and religious ceremonies will, as a rule,
not be granted.
Leave of this nature is never to be presumed. It is always to
be obtained from the principal 3 days prior to departure.
Repeated absence for feasts, weddings, etc., render the students
liable to dismissal.
In case of absence without leave, the student on returning to
school must have the reason of absence entered and signed by parents
/ guardians in the Absence Record in the school calendar.
A boy or girl returning to school after an absence of 3 or more days must
obtain the Principal's permission before being admitted to class.
A boy or girl returning to school after a contagious or infectious
disease should also produce a doctor's certificate permitting him to do
so. The school accepts no responsibility if through failure in producing
such a certificate, a boy or girl is obliged to return home during class
hours. If the child happens to fall sick during the school tests and examination
it is a must that medical certificate should be obtained from a Government,
municipal and / or the school doctor from the school campus on
(Tuesday / Saturday evenings at 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.) and (Thursday
Morning from 8.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.) otherwise no condonation will be granted
and the child will be marked absent.
It is obligatory to attend school on the re-opening day after
each of the vacations. Absence without previous leave (mere informing
will not suffice) renders the pupils struck off the rolls. If they fail
to report to school on the opening day after each vacation / holidays,
it is mandatory to send information to the Principal stating the reasons
for delay and that only in exceptional cases like serious sickness which,
also should be supplemented by detailed medical certificate and the parents
should accompany the child.
Boys and girls who have been sent away from the school and who have been
struck off the rolls are as a rule not readmitted back to the same school.
Leave for religious ceremonies of a private nature does not
justify the leave, and no leave will be granted. Those who go without
permission will be risking detention in the same class for 1 more year
for lack of attendance.
If a child leaves the school during the working hours without
lawful permission, the child must be accompanied by parents on return, failing
which the child will be sent home.
Parents are requested not to press for leave for flimsy reasons.
And if their request is turned down, they are requested not to give a
false reason for the absence. It will only teach your child to hide truth
in the future.

Parents or guardian are expected to co-operate with the school
authorities by enforcing regularity and discipline, by seeing that their
children or wards prepare their lessons and by taking an active and helpful
interest in the activities of the school. They are also requested to see
that their child / ward comes to school in full uniform and neatly dressed.
Parents are also requested to see that the remarks given are
signed on time and due attention is paid to improve upon it. They should
see that the circulars sent are duly acknowledged and weekly reports about
the child's conduct and application will be issued in the calendar. They
must see that the calender is not wilfully lost be the students, to avoid embarrassments
of remarks on conduct and application. It is advisable that you call for your
child's calendar once in every week.
Parents are particularly expected to sign messages and the progess
Reports. Report cards that do not come on the due date will be black
listed, and a fine of Rs 10/- will have to be paid. It may also put your
child in great inconvenience and render them liable to be sent home.
Repeated late coming and forgetting to bring books, calendar identity
cards may be punished in the same way.
if a pupil is absent through illness for more than three days the Principal
must be informed at once. No certificate will be accepted if not informed as above.
Parents may note that they shall not employ or engage the teachers
of the school as private tutors except after consulting the Principal
and with his written consent alone. If any student employs a school teacher,
for tuitions, without informing, the Principal reserves the right, to
take appropriate actions like sending his / her papers out for evaluations
and so on. The school however, does not avail its premises for any tuitions
or classes.
Parents and guardians are especially required to notify the school
of any change in their address or telephone number. Please notify in writing.
When communicating with the Principal, parents and guardians
are requested to mention in the letters and on medical notes/ certificates
the standard, class Roll. no and division of the student.
Parents / guardians or other persons or other persons are not
allowed to see the students and teachers during school working hours without
the sanction of the Principal. The staff should be seen preferably in
their off periods or after school hours with prior appointment and in
the school office. Teachers or the staff cannot call parents to school
without first informing the Principal and the reason thereof, given in
writing.
Any student who is destructive by his conduct may receive a conduct
certificate, which is destructible in nature. This is applicable to all
the students of the school. We shall not be available to render sympathy,
if a student regardless of the reminders given to him or her continues
to behave in an undeterred manner. A good conduct certificate has to be earned,
not begged for. Hence one who is not good in his or her conduct cannot be given a good conduct certificate.
Students, parents should pay special attention to their performance
in the school. Both behavioral and academic failure in a subject like
P.T. could result in S.S.C failure, no matter how well he she may do in
his / her theory papers.
Participation in the annual sports is compulsory for all the
students, especially for the S.S.C students. Marks are given for participation
in the games and for attendance. Requests to go for coaching classes and
coaching classes prelims during the school function, is not entertained,
as it is the sole responsibility of the students. The school has not arranged
any coaching class anywhere and do not entertain such; as it serves an
insult to the teachers of the school and affects student's discipline.
Courtesy, respect and decency of behavior and speech are part
of our school ideals. Any one who tries to distort this, will be viewed
very seriously and stern actions will be taken against them.
Extra-curricular activities is something that a student should
look forward to. Opportunities like N.C.C is provided in the school for
the betterment of the students and for their excellence. Completion of
2 years in the N.C.C provides students a certificate, which will be useful
to him in many ways. It shapes his character, moulds his mind and physique.
You are requested therefore, to motivate your child to join N.C.C, for
him to have a sense of accomplishment (boys above 12 yrs only).
For STD 8 N.C.C., is compulsory and social service / RSP / CIVIL
defence for girls.
